About

Practice
Liliya Korosteleva is a Kazakhstan-based painter and visual artist developing a figurative practice around memory, faith, rupture and the persistence of archetypal narratives in contemporary life.

Trained in art and architecture, Korosteleva spent years working professionally with space, composition, light and visualisation before returning to independent painting practice in 2026.

Her current work is centred on oil painting and the construction of a sustained body of work rather than isolated images. She is developing new series in which biblical and historical narratives are treated as living psychological structures rather than illustration.
